Diometry

Diometry is a fast-paced top-down shooter that features a modular ability system which allows players to mix and match the powers they find to best fit their play style.

Controls

• Move with WASD
• Aim with the mouse
• Left/right click, Shift, and Space for abilities (and more as you unlock ability slots)
• When standing near an ability, click on an ability slot to purchase the ability and place it in that slot

A sort of spiritual successor to Rogue Android, Diometry takes many lessons from its predecessor. Primarily, I realized while making Rogue Android that the whole "playing cards from a hand" mechanic was just too cumbersome for the frantic pacing of an arcade shooter. Picking the right ability in combat required so much focus that it was often most effective to just build around buff cards, which allowed you to play your cards in advance and just focus on dodging and aiming in battle.
